1. Easter Egg Hunt in Your Backyard
You might not be able to go to a public/neighborhood Easter egg hung, but you can still have one in your backyard. Fill those plastic eggs with candy and chocolate and also dollar bills and hide them outside in the yard. Then give each kid an Easter basket and let them wander the yard searching for the Easter eggs.
Easter egg hunts are such a great Easter tradition and kids will have a blast hunting down those eggs.
2. Dying Easter Eggs
Another great Easter tradition. You can purchase an Easter egg decorating kit and set your kids up at the kitchen table with all the hard boiled eggs and let them dip the eggs in the food coloring and design them with all the supplies from the decorating kit.

3. Easter Basket Scavenger Hunt
One tradition that we do in my family is a scavenger hunt for the Easter basket on Easter. Once you put your kids Easter basket all together, you can hide your kids Easter basket and make them go on a scavenger hunt for them. This is a fun way for them to receive their Easter baskets/gifts.
4. Easter Breakfast/Brunch
Once all Easter baskets have been given, you can indulge in a nice Easter breakfast/brunch with your family. Cook up whatever some of your favorite breakfast and brunch foods are. Or maybe you have certain Easter food traditions in your fmaily. We usually have eggs, ham, kielbasa, potatoes, bacon, orange juice, and mimosas.
But whatever is on your menu, I’m sure it will be delicious and it will be an enjoyable time for your family.
5. Bake Apple Fritters
One tradition I started a few years ago was baking apple fritters. It seems like a great sweet treat for Easter and the Spring. And it’s usually a big hit.
If your kids love to help cook or bake like my son does, then this would be a great activity to include them in.
6. Easter Arts and Crafts
Arts and crafts are always a great activity for kids. My son loves to paint, color, play with stickers, so this can be a fun activity for him to do. There are so many options for some Easter arts and crafts to do such as Easter bunnies, eggs, Easter baskets, etc. One that I came across that I plan on doing this year with my son are Easter bunny masks. I know he’ll enjoy it and I’m sure your kids will too.
You don’t have to go out and mingle with other people to have a nice Easter. You can easily have a fun Easter at home. And there are so many fun Easter activities for your kids that can be done at home, staying safe and social distancing. Keep in mind that these are great Easter activity ideas even outside of COVID-19 that can be continued as some nice traditions every year.
